Olivia's Sixth Month

If Olivia's fifth month seemed significant in terms of development, her sixth month has been epic. She's sleeping better now and is on a regular schedule (woe betide us if we get away from the schedule), has said "kitty" and "mama" and babbles all day long. She is almost ready to sit up unassisted, has decided she is not too excited about eating solid foods, and is extremely physically active. She weighs 16 pounds and measures 26.5 inches - hard to believe she has more than doubled her birth weight and grown almost 7 inches in length.

Grandma and Grandpa Bubela came for a visit:

 Hanging out with Daddy
All those toys and she went for the book - brought a tear to my eye
Just woke up from a nice long nap :)

 Playing the guitar with Dad
 Lounging around

This one makes me smile every time I see it. How cute is she?

And of course, gotta love outtakes from the monthly photo shoot:

Olivia's Fifth Month

Olivia's fifth month seemed big to us in terms of her development. She is getting even more physically active (I didn't think that was possible, all of my pictures are blurry as it is) and seems much more like a tiny person instead of a baby. She is very vocal and interactive with us and loves to be read to.

Olivia's Baptism

Somehow I missed Olivia's baptism during all my postings. It was a wonderful day and we were very lucky to have our family there to celebrate with us. It was especially nice to have her baptized on Mother's Day (I was, too)

Happy Fathers Day

It was a special day for us this year - Kenan's first Father's Day. My daughter is fortunate to have a Daddy that is an outstanding husband to me, a wonderful father to her, and a very good man. We did our best to spoil him on his first official Father's Day. Last year Father's Day fell about three days after we found out we were expecting Olivia, so this year was very special to us.

Olivia's Fourth Month

Somehow Olivia is four months old already. She started rolling over shortly after her three month birthday, has discovered her hands, put everything in her mouth, and is about to get her first tooth. She is in the 60th percentile for height and weight and is not at all shy about telling Mom and Dad what she wants. She is the light of our life.

She is pretty much always in motion
Kenan has a gift for getting the best pictures and he was able to catch the pouty face :)

Memorial Day at church

Here are a couple of the out-takes from her four month pictures. It was hysterical. As usual, she would stop smiling the instant she saw the camera, so I took about 500 pictures that day.
